Quoting someone who speaks with a foreign accent? Be careful that you understood them.
An Israeli newspaper reporter misunderstood a comment by French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, and mistakenly quoted Kouchner as saying Iran could hypothetically "eat Israel." What Kouchner really said was Iran might "hit Israel," as in attack them.
